Advice Only Financial Advisor
As an Advice Only Financial Advisor with a specialty in Retirement Planning for those 55 and up, I help ease your anxieties about retirement by helping you visualize your retirement possibilities and creating a personalized Retirement Plan.
Over my professional life I’ve learned that retirement planning isn’t easy and can be a great source of stress for many people. If you are at or near retirement, you probably have many questions about what your retirement may look like.
Common questions are when to claim Social Security, how to withdraw assets tax-efficiently, how to pay for healthcare, LTC, how long your asset pool may last, and many other questions!
My philosophy is that this is your retirement. You worked hard to get to this point. My job is to provide professional guidance, so you don’t outlive your financial resources you worked so hard for. I’m a Retirement Income Certified Professional, RICP®, and have a Master of Science in Finance. I can help you develop a Plan to reach your retirement goals.
I chose the fiduciary, fee-only, and advice only financial advisor model so I could focus on you as a client. My emphasis is on the “planning” aspect of advising, hence I also go by the title Financial Planner. I do not sell products or receive commissions or referral fees.
The Backstory
Formerly, I was an Information Technology professional, building relationships and working with clients to achieve technical goals. Upon reaching middle age-ish, I decided to evaluate what my 2nd half would look like. Inspired by my passion for finance, helping people, and the book, “Half Time” by Bob Buford, I set out to form my own path of ‘from success to significance,’ the essence of the book. See other inspirational and Finance Books that I highly recommended.
After many disappointing experiences with my own financial “advisors” (salespeople) over the years, I wanted to take a consultative, fiduciary approach, always putting the client’s best interest before my own. I wanted people to come to me for unbiased financial advice, without the sales pitch for unwanted or unneeded products. That is the foundation of Kastler Financial Planning (About Us).
