Mike Kastler, Financial Advisor, is a member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA), the XY Planning Network, and the Fee-Only Network. Mike has a life-long passion for finance, including his former corporate career. Now, he enjoys helping others better understand and organize their finances, then creates and assists in implementing a Plan for them to achieve financial goals.
He created Kastler Financial Planning so that he could act in the best interests of his clients. See About Us. He does not sell products or accept commissions or compensation from any 3rd party. Clients can rely on him to offer unbiased financial advice, as opposed to receiving sales pitches for unwanted or unneeded products. He has a fiduciary duty to his clients.
Mike does not have “gather your assets” mentality. Instead, he uses the accounts you already have to develop your personalized Financial Plan. You retain control over your money. If you want money management, he offers that through various 3rd party money managers, providing you with the best resources at the best cost possible. Or you can do-it-yourself with our Plan as your guidance.
Why a Fee-Only Fiduciary Financial Planner?
After many disappointing experiences with his own financial “advisors” (salespeople) over the years, he decided to take a consultative, fiduciary approach, never taking commissions or referral fees and always putting the client’s best interest before my own. This is called the “Fee Only” compensation model.
By combining his real-life experiences, analytic skills, and academics, his aim is to bring unique value in developing your personalized financial plan – without the bias or pressure of selling products on commission. Mike truly believes this is the best way to provide objective financial advice that is in your best interest.
Mike’s first passion is to put God first in all that he does! Secondly, passion for his marriage to wife Julie and their blended family! Spending time with kids and grandkids is paramount!
Mike and Julie live in Groveland Twp, MI and are involved at their church and FamilyLife® Ministry. They both felt the calling to help couples navigate the everyday challenges of married life and blended children with solid biblical beliefs. Together, they lead marriage classes at churches and community centers. Together, we have founded “Michigan Family Life”, to help couples navigate through marriage, parenting, and life in general!
