Hourly Rate for Small Projects
For specific small projects that don’t fit into one of the project-based financial planning models below, our hourly rate is currently $150. Examples of when the hourly rate is used may include assistance with cash flow planning, Social Security optimization, or pension buy-out vs lifetime annuity analysis. For broad-based financial planning, the project-based services below may be more cost-effective.
Broad-Based Financial Planning and Retirement Planning
In addition to our hourly services for small projects, there are 2 project-based offerings to meet your one-time Financial Planning needs:
- Broad-Based Financial Planning, generally for those under 55 years of age
- Retirement Planning with a focus on Retirement Income Planning, for those at or near retirement, generally 55+
Plan Add-On Items
The pricing at left is the minimum basic one-time Plan creation fee. Additional items that may add cost to the minimum basic price include, but not limited to:
- A significant number of accounts to analyze
- Manual entry of account information (vs client performing account aggregation)
- Other client-requested analyses such as small business modeling
For each add-on item, we will estimate an additional fee to add to the minimum base price. You will receive a written contract with all the services and fees identified.
The one-time broad-based financial plans are written plans that the client is then responsible for executing and monitoring. These are very appropriate for do-it-yourselfers or those already working with another advisor and want a 2nd opinion. On-Going Financial Planning (“Retainer”)
By contracting with our On-Going Financial Planning services (the Retainer model) we can help you execute and monitor your Plan. You do the investment management at a custodian of your choice including account set-up, buying, selling and rebalancing. We do the on-going financial planning and Plan updates. Charges range from $100 to $300 per month depending on the complexity of the Plan. Please see our On-Going Financial Planning for further information.
Fee Schedule for Investment Management Services
We perform the account set-up, buying, selling and rebalancing of your assets to be held at TD Ameritrade. We perform Investment Management Services in conjunction with On-Going Financial Planning. We strongly believe this combination puts you in the best position to “Execute and Monitor” your Plan for success. In addition to the On-Going Financial Planning fee stated above, we manage your investable assets at the rates below. Please see our Investment Management Services for further information.
